The last few years have been a challenge for all of our students. I have taught 1st grade for 19 years and the level these students are coming in at this year is alarming. Not just academically but social skills as well. It is a challenge with small classrooms and large class numbers to be able to give my students space to work and focus. They are piled on top of eachother, which makes managing behaviors very challenging. I want my students to feel safe in the classroom and have room to be able to learn without too many distractions. I hope these seats can help them to make good choices about their learning and behavior. They deserve the very best!

About my class
