My students come largely from a nearby Native American Reservation, and some from the surrounding neighborhood. They are all amazing and deserve the best possible education! Our school is ability grouped, and our class consists of the above level students. I teach them the second grade standards at an accelerated rate and more in-depth than required. However, we mix the classes in the grade level for reteach and enrichment opportunities. Therefore, the whole grade level will benefit from this project. Our school is only in its second year and doesn't have the budget to provide items that aren't absolutely necessary for the day-to-day functioning of the classroom. However, knowing my kids need to be able to see what things should look like, I feel like a document camera is vital to their daily functioning.
