I work at a low-income school with more students than our building can handle. Despite all those challenges, our students are so hungry to learn and experience new things. It certainly keeps me on my toes and eager to seek new ways to fulfill their learning needs. As the music teacher, I'm pretty low on the totem pole of priority, and my projects don't often get funded, despite the fact that every student in the school comes into my classroom twice a week. I know every student by name (and we have nearly 700 students), and being their music teacher is absolutely my dream job. I'm so lucky!
