Children today do not move enough - whether during the school day or once school is let out. Our first grade students need a way to get some movement in while completing their classwork. Many of my students have special needs and they need constant stimulation - these new tools would help improve their concentration! Being on-task is tough for any six year old, let alone a six year old with attention issues or learning difficulties. These new seats and bouncy bands would allow my students access to the outside stimulation without having to leave the classroom. I am asking for two new seating options - one stool and one jellyfish, stability ball type chair - and some chair bouncy bands. These new additions to my classroom would allow my wiggliest of students an outlet for their excessive need to move.
