My students are from low income and diverse households. Many are strapped for food, much less extras they may need in the classroom. Unfortunately, many are also behind in their learning. Using technology, in the classroom, is a great way to bridge that gap. Individual lessons, that practice standards directed to a particular student, will be sooo very helpful. In order for my exceptional students to take advantage of individual learning, they need to focus and have an environment where they can tune out the world around them. Providing them with their own clean, virus free, individual earbuds is a must. Also, as teachers we must always have a backup plan (for those lost or forgotten earbuds), we need cleanable headphones on hand, just in case. No excuses.
