We are a Title One school, in the Richmond, VA area. A lot of my students are from single parent, low income families. They are mostly African American, but we are starting to get more limited, to no English speaking, Hispanic students. Our students can be challenging and a little rough around the edges. But, I've seen that showing them trust and providing them with consistency, they are some of the most loving and hard working students. We have recently become a Leader in Me School, where we integrate the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People throughout our daily lessons. We want all our students to know that everyone can be a leader.

About my class
