I teach at a Title I public school in Brooklyn. My school is a place where children are encouraged to be themselves while learning to value their education. Students are encouraged to question the world around them and encouraged to think outside the box. In my school, in my classroom, students are pushed to try their hardest while being able to grow and develop based on their needs. My students work hard each and every single day to combat any personal struggles that they may be facing. My first graders strive for their personal best whether they are working on math problems, trying to progress to the next reading level, or becoming authors during writing workshop. My students try their very best and deserve the very best education has to offer. I believe in my students and most importantly they believe in themselves.
