As a sixth grade reading, writing, and social studies teacher, engagement is the key component of my instruction. Engagement can prove itself difficult in my day to day functioning in my multicultural classroom (ESL teacher). However, this is my driving force to pursue engagement in every lesson every day. I owe it to my students to give them the best of me everyday through means of instruction. These students count on me to deliver education at its finest. With that being my goal, something has to change.
