Learning to read is not always something that comes easy for individuals. One's first impressions of the world of reading is vital to their literacy growth. This year, I plan on having a more hands-on movement approach to literacy in the classroom. I want them to love reading! Through the Scholastic News, I will help my students make text to self and text to world connections....with hopes of intriguing a strong interest in world current events. Using the classroom rug, I am excited to build an enticing environment where we can meet in a close setting to have meaning conversations and discussions!
