For many of my students, my classroom is their first experience at school, never having attended pre-school. Our school is very diverse with a majority of our student population coming from low income housing and living in poverty. Many of my students come tired and hungry. In spite of these situations, they are resilient young students who give it their all each and every day. At age five we are already talking about what they want to be when they grow up and the path to achieve their dreams. Their dreams range from scientists to police officers. My students are tough, curious, kind, creative, helpful, dreamers and so much more!
