Take a moment and think back to the first time you set a goal. Was it was at school or outside of school? Remember how you felt when you achieved or even surpassed your goal? I want to help my students to be able to experience that accomplishment. I want them to feel success within my classroom through the use of their data binders. Data binders will aid them in their short and long term goal setting. My students are at the age of where they are wanting to learn and grow and to foster their own education. The school is in a low-income community where a high percentage of our students are on free or reduced lunches, and English Language Learners make up over half of the schools population. Therefore, it is difficult for many of the students and students families to come up with materials needed for school.
