One problem we have run into with these seemingly successful students is the lack of motivation to read. While they are interested in many areas, they become bored with reading. Our teachers realize that many of these students have not found their genre or are not reading properly. If teachers could walk students through a book, cover to cover, students could find their motivation and become more avid readers by the modeling they are presented with.
