My little learners love to learn and show their learning! At a rural, Title 1-assisted school located in a small town, I teach right where I grew up. I connect and understand my students as this is my communitythis is my home. Whether it's math, reading, or writing, they walk in each day ready to learn. At 5 and 6, they set personal learning goals for themselves and they tailor their learning center choices to fit their current academic needs. We teach and learn in an environment with whole group and differentiated small group instruction. The students are able to use the entire classroom to meet their learning needs and grab learning tools and materials at their own discretion. We laugh and learn from our mistakes together. We encourage and motivate each other. Most importantly, we care for each other in our little classroom family.
