Most of my students do not have the necessary math skills for second grade and this reduces their love of school because math is difficult. This is why I feel it is important that we find highly engaging activities that capture their attention. My hope is that providing hands-on activities for the students, they learn to love school and we create a passion for learning that stays with them forever.
