Lopez Community school at Edgemere Elementary is a Title I school with 90% free and reduced lunch rate. 15% of our 200 students are considered at-risk for being chronically hungry and receive a food backpack each Friday during the school year. 25% of our families requested holiday assistance in 2014 including food and presents for their children. Without basic classroom school supplies, many students would not come to school with what they need to learn.
