Scholastic News is a high-quality nonfiction magazine filled with amazing stories about the world. All the pages have beautiful, full-color photos that will hold the kids' interest. These magazines will give my students the opportunity to learn about world events and understand how these events relate to their everyday lives. Children want and need to learn about the world around them, and there's no better way to teach them than with Scholastic News magazine. Scholastic News magazines present the news in an appropriate and relevant way that will allow my students to understand the world around them. It is designed to provide a curriculum-based program with news that makes it easy and fun to learn! It helps build reading skills and critical thinking, all while providing a correlation to the standards. Scholastic News will also provide me with extra teaching materials throughout the year. I will receive posters, reading practice test, step-by-step lesson plans based on second grade curriculum and digital teaching tools for visual aids in my classroom. These resources will help me engage my students for many, many years!
