My students are young 5-6 year old boys and girls that are eager to learn new information through creative assignments and activities. I will be teaching 120 incoming Kindergarteners in the area of Visual Arts. In having met some of my students on a one-to -one basis through home visits, I have been able to analyze that they have so much potential, intelligence and excitement to join our school program. Reading and math doesn't allow for children's creativity to develop to it's maximum. However, in Art, they are able to express what they think without any limitations. Therefore, expressing emotions and talents that are not reflected through the use of writing letters, reading words or adding numbers together. Art in combination with Reading, Writing, Math, Physical Education, Spanish in addition to other subjects will create a well rounded education to create the leaders of the future!
