I have five students in my Autism self-contained classroom. the student range from K-2. They are so amazing in their own individual way. Three of my students are non-verbal and they use visual pictures to communicate with teachers and peers. The other two are verbal, but they still need picture cues to express their wants and needs. My students are very visual and hands on students.
