My name is Miss Laurie Gierke. I am a sixth grade teacher at Centennial Junior High School in Casper, Wyoming. I love living in our great state! We have so many wonderful outdoor and indoor activities to enjoy, including, swimming, fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, and enjoying sporting events at our only 4 year college, University of Wyoming. Go Pokes! Because the school I was teaching at for 16 years recently shut its doors, this will be my first year in my current teaching position. I am super excited for this new adventure that awaits, but also am feeling very overwhelmed with getting a new classroom ready for middle school students! Yikes! I believe in trying new resources, techniques, and instructional methods in my classroom. I love to have a great time by playing music, providing a safe and energetic environment, and recognizing goals being met and all of the students' and my co-teachers' hard work!
