Our school district has turned towards digital backpacks, which is like an online portfolio folder or work collection. This is an opportunity for students to showcase their learning and projects throughout the year in digital format using text, imagery, video, and audio. Please help me provide the Chromebook tools for my 6th, 7th, and 8th grade kids to explore, learn, and create projects and performance tasks that can be uploaded to their digital backpacks. In 8th grade, all my students must present and defend choice items from their online backpacks to a panel of judges using district criteria rubrics. Having computers throughout the year will make this learning and creating process more fun, motivating, and accessible.
