I will be having 32 kindergartners starting this fall. We have a variety of minority students attending. Our school is mainly composed of Latino and Caucasian students. This school uses the 90/10 model. This means that the lower grades learn 90% in Spanish and 10% in English. As the students get older they start to learn more English. By sixth grade all students should be completely bilingual. Students in their last year will be taught using 50% English and 50% Spanish. There is a big demand for enrollment and a huge waiting list. I want to mention that they parents of the students that attended last year were very satisfied with the school and the model they use. Most students are coming back and kindergarten is completely full and has a long waiting list.
