This year I am focusing on improving my students understanding of science. My students have come from all over the world and have faced many challenges which include speaking English. They are very curious, eager to learn and inquisitive about the scientific method. All students want to learn! It is challenging for them to understand the scientific method without having materials or items to complete experiments. What better way of having them engage their minds while moving their bodies. These science materials will give them an opportunity to begin the scientific method to investigate using a hands-on approach. It will give them the confidence to fully understand the steps to apply these practical skills in real-life situations, as well as problem solving skills and social skills. The moves mats will give them a chance to move their bodies when a certain type of move is selected. This will help to expand their vocabulary as they are very quick to learn English, their second language. These items will change our students' lives for the better because they will love school and feel success at an early age --- having fun while learning!
