Light boxes are so versatile! They can be used with manipulatives on top, such as magna tiles or simple clear counters, or they can be used with learning materials such as story pictures printed on translucent paper. Students can match like objects, or they can arrange numbers or letters. They can even be used with a clear placemat and food on top to assist students in self feeding and directing their attention! Light boxes are also great for inclusion, because all students love them, even students who are not visually impaired! Many great lessons can be experienced with a tool as simple as a light box.
