My students come from varied backgrounds, but most are very low income. Several do not have the tools at home to help them become better students, and often struggle in the classroom. They are an inquisitive group who want to know as much as they can. They also want to grow up to be good, successful people. My school works hard to build a sense of community, reminding families and students that we are all in this together, and that we are all responsible for our successes.

About my class
