The materials I have chosen for this project are high-interest, engaging books that students will read over and over again. These books will be used for independent reading, as well as for partner sharing. Captivating books help build strong readers! When children love what they are reading and read for enjoyment, then they will be more likely to become lifelong readers. The books selected for this project are so in demand from our school library that often children are put on a waiting list to check them out. By having these books in my classroom, they will be more accessible.

About my class
