Learning begins with accurate and up to date materials. The atlases we currently have in our classroom are dilapidated and so out of date they still have USSR as a country! Though we study the ancient civilizations, I want students to be able to connect to them and not just view them as ancient worlds no one cares about any more. I like students to be able to place these civilizations in the world in relation to our modern world. To help make this connection, I do a very large map study unit and project with my students. With the help of your donations, my students will be able to learn about the ancient worlds as well as the one we live in with up to date materials.
