The Walker-Jones Education Campus is moving towards a blended learning model to ensure success for all students. Currently, I teach sixth, seventh, and eighth grade social studies. We examine history through a peoples perspective to maintain the integrity of all populations of people. As such, we study many primary and secondary sources that are not found in traditional textbooks. "Agitate" is the one word quote by Frederick Douglass that we often reference in class. We have a collective understanding that we can only bring change in our school, community and in the world by challenging the policies and laws that separate, oppress, or disenfranchise people across lines of differences.
