My students are very energetic! They are excited to learn. I love to do "turn and talks" with them because then they all get a chance to share what they are thinking. This group of kids are probably the happiest I have taught. I get to loop with them next year and I am so excited. My school is separated into two buildings with temporary buildings. We are half-built because of budget cuts. The classrooms are very old and are falling apart. The temporary building I am in is in bad shape. The walls are falling apart and the carpet is badly stained. Because it's a temporary building, the district won't put any money into it. It's been "temporary" for about 40 years. I want a classroom that my students are proud of and comfortable in. I think the classroom environment should be welcoming and calming.
