The students at LCMS are a diverse group. Our schools represents multiple ethnic groups in grades 6-8. The school culture here is about establishing community within the school and promoting community and school involvement through sports, clubs, and donation drives. Each quarter students are enrolled in an advisory class. Some students take an intervention class to improve math, reading, and language skills while other students enroll in enrichment classes. These classes include technology, art, sports, drama, character development, and more. In past years, I have taught a study skills class, but see the need to offer advanced science students a session to explore science concepts outside of the regular curriculum.
