My students need more relevant, diverse books available to them in our classroom in which to explore new worlds and dig deeper into the content we are learning. We work incredibly hard to foster a love of learning and reading in our classroom by taking adventures into different themes, cultures, time periods, and elements that make us who we are! These books will help us to develop empathy and learn more about what makes us unique, and windows and mirrors for our student readers. They will also be used to enhance reading and writing lessons as strong mentor texts with strong lessons, themes, and writing styles to be learned. Your generous donation to purchase these new books will improve our fourth grade classroom by helping to build stronger readers and ultimately writers as well. This will impact our students' lives for the better as we can share these books among our four classrooms, impacting not just my students but the other fourth grade students as well. This will change our students' lives because they will come to school with a stronger love for reading and the many worlds it can transport them to.
