Being in a classroom where students are asked to do so much, it's nice to have a place where we can come together. A place where meetings are held, instructions are given and a place where stories are told. Sitting on a hard, cold floor in first grade is not ideal and concentration with the ability to do the best you can, can be difficult at any age. Coming together at a common meeting area enriches a classroom atmosphere and focuses young learners. My students will use this rug daily and it will be our main meeting area to begin each day. We will continue to use this rug throughout the day for many different reasons. In today's classroom, a rug that is used must be flame retardant. This kind of rug is hard to find in normal stores and can be a bit pricey. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
