Because of COVID many students were unable to attend preschool and have missed learning many of the social and academic skills usually provided through having that experience. As a kindergarten teacher, it is my job to fill in the gaps that will be missing in many of my students this year. Allowing students to explore through a sensory water/sand table will help improve many cognitive and social skills. Using a sensory table can help students improve fine motor skills, increase socialization with peers, help with language development and emotionally be a calming activity,
