While we have been out of school, our first graders have missed their school, teacher, and friends! One thing we could show them through our videos and lessons were our classroom mascots, Mabel the elephant and Rasheed the lion! These cuddly stuffed animals have comforted them through this tough time and now we want to be able to give them the real thing! They will love this end of the year surprise and it will help remind them of all of the fun reading and writing lessons these cute mascots helped us learn. We also want to try to get them outfitted with shirts that say something positive that will relate to our school and uplift their spirits!

About my class
