My students are among the best in the city. They are incredibly diverse. They work together in an environment where we value each others differences. Yet some come from places of great need, not only economically but socially and emotionally. Here at school, they can be safe and strive for their dreams. Some are not as motivated as others but all have the capacity to stand with best academically. As they return after graduation to share with their former teachers they are so thankful. There are stories of being so prepared and feeling so smart! There are also reflections of how they would have taken advantage more of the opportunities here if they had only known how useful it would have been. Many have returned to us as Engineers, Scientists, Doctors and many, many teachers. The one thing they have in common is the solid foundation, skills and leadership they have acquired here in our school and the fond memories of belonging here.
