We will use the hands-on products to encourage students to creatively think of solutions, and create a life long engineering mentality. Our future is rapidly moving towards STEM based careers. It is important to use these activities in the classroom as early as kindergarten. Not only are our students learning a new language, but they are learning the academic Spanish language through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics! My students will benefit from having these different activities to get a hands-on feel for how to create something with a goal in mind. For example, the bridge building activity challenges my students to think of ways to move a car from point A to point B. These resources will challenge my students to find innovation in being an engineer with connection to literacy products as well. These STEM products will provide my students with a hands on experience that they will be able to carry for the rest of their lives and hopefully towards a career in the STEM field.
