Many of my students come from a diverse background a face many challenges at home. They are not always aware of what goes on outside of our Mckinney zip code. They are always enlightened after reading these magazines and many conversations/discussions have evolved from them. My most hesitant readers have been able to immerse themselves in articles that they can relate too, even if they are taking place on the other side of the world. These are some of the hardest working 6th graders on the planet that deserve more than one copy of a magazine to share among them.

About my class
