I work in a high poverty area. Many of my students don't have books or materials at home to complete their homework. Many students are also left at home with siblings while parents work long hours. My students are wonderful. They are sweet and kind and come to school with the desire to learn. They ask for work to complete over the weekend so they have something to occupy them.
