My students have limited access to books. The requested materials will serve as read alouds for my 2nd grade students. Each week, I will use the read alouds to model fluency and monitor comprehension while reading. In addition, each book will have teacher created activities and/ or projects to check for understanding and extend learning. The read alouds and accompanying activities will increase student engagement and assist in creating a life long love of reading! Several of the titles included are beloved titles from our childhood and others are newer titles that students will love! I look forward to embarking on this journey with my reading detectives!!
