My students love to read books when the story comes alive. They come from a low socio-economic background and do not have the money for food, much less books and supplies. The do no have quiet time at home to enjoy reading as they should, so I love that I get to explore and read with them in class. When we read books together you can see the excitement in their face. They never want to stop reading, they always ask if we can just read one more chapter. They have a thirst and yearn for the unknown.
