I have amazing students from diverse backgrounds in culture, preparedness, and resources. From the students who have traditionally struggled with math to AP students, they share one common bond. They all have a dream to attend a university. Some students are special education students who through hard work, countless hours of tutoring, and sheer will have been able to overcome their limitations to become top performers in the classroom. I am proud of their accomplishments and feel that they deserve every chance to achieve at their highest level of ability. While many students are middle class students who can afford resources such as calculators, others have limited resources. The economy has been difficult for many families, with parents losing employment. Providing classroom materials is often difficult for them.
