Curious, excited, and energetic are just a few words to describe the scholars in my classrooms. I serve students with disabilities in the inclusion classroom. Many of my scholars deal with extreme challenges at home and in their community but show up to school every day ready to learn and grow. Our school has 100% of students receiving free breakfast and lunch and has been labeled a priority school with in our district. Each student I serve has an IEP. My mathematicians are full of energy, inquisitive, and always excited to take on a challenge, but they often lack the skills and support needed to believe in themselves. Our classrooms are home to a range of students with varying emotional and educational needs. Students math levels range from 1st grade to 6th grade in my 5th grade classroom. I focus primarily on 3rd-5th grade interventions to make the content accessible to all students.
