I am one of the technology teachers at an elementary school. We have a total of two labs in our school. Our labs are used during a rotation called Specials. The rural area of Barrow County, Georgia is where we are located. It is such a wonderful feeling when the students enter our classrooms with extraordinary excitement and amazing enthusiasm on their faces, ready to learn. Over 240 kids from K-5th grade rotate daily between the two labs during a 40-minute session. During this session, they are heavily engaged in enhancing keyboarding skills, improving reading and math fluency, and learning basic code. In addition, both labs are crucial during our GA Milestones Testing. At least 50% of our 3rd, 4th & 5th grade students take the GA Milestones Test online. We are desperately in need of 50 new sets of headphones to replace some of the old ones we have. Some of the old headphones we have are brown Radio Shack TELEX headphones that are barely working. It is essential to have working headphones during any of our technology classes and during testing.
