Students can apply things that they have learned through play as well as discover new ideas! In our imagination, art, construction, and sensory/discovery centers, students will collectively decide on topics to play, build, and create that are related to our learning and standards. They are empowered with choice and practice many social and emotional skills. Their teacher questions them to show their knowledge and understanding of topics but also coaches them during this time to improve social and emotional skills. Students demonstrate many skills using these materials, as well as practice skills that need continued growth. As students build, create, design, and feel, they will be developing lifelong skills.
