My English Language Learners come to school ready and eager to learn. They need new leveled readers to help practice English and reading skills at home! They have home book bags that we use to send books home each night so that they can practice reading and writing in English. Families are really happy to have this home school connection and the books that go home help siblings learn to love reading as well! The love of reading and learning is enhanced with new books and art supplies! My students need the art supplies on our shopping list to create projects around the books we love! These projects help English Language Learners become more fluent as they create projects about their books and talk about their creations. They also need whiteboards to practice sight words and sentence formation.
