Having this project funded would allow me to incorporate technology into our everyday classroom life and school based work program. Currently my students have not had the opportunity to utilize technology as much as we would like. Unfortunately my school is struggling financially and providing technology to students with special needs has been a challenge. My intention is to provide technology opportunities daily to my students and having my project funded would enable us to do so. Students will be able to use the computers to create assignments and emails, collaborate in groups, research career areas that interest them and gain career skills for entry level positions and provide them with the confidence they need to obtain these jobs and be successful and productive members of the workforce. This exposure is a necessity as most job opportunities will require some basic knowledge of technology (i.e. email, documents, etc.).
