My school is an Early Childhood Center filled with eager kindergarteners. Our school is a Title One school. About 50% of our student’s receive free or reduced priced lunch. Not wanting my students to miss an opportunity, I use my own money to purchase books and materials for my classroom. Our classroom is an inclusion class. My students are very hard working and enjoy coming to school each day. Currently, I have 21 students of different ethnicities and backgrounds. There are a variety of ability levels, independent readers, students provided with a lot of resources at home, students with Autism, and students who are below grade level. With my strong beliefs in early childhood education and interventions, I try to create a nurturing, creative environment to encourage a love of learning. My class works daily to build not only a strong educational foundation, but also build core social experiences and interactions with their peers and adults.
