Having choir folders for practice at home will help students work on many standards, but mostly the "Performing" strand (Realizing artistic work through interpretation and presentation). The anchor standard is to "Develop and refine artistic techniques and work for presentation." The specific standard that is most applicable is MU: Pr5.1.EV "Develop, apply, and refine appropriate rehearsal strategies to address individual and ensemble challenges in a varied repertoire of music." Students will be able to rehearse at home more effectively as these folders will organize their music, keep it in good condition, clean and usable and transport it back and forth.
