Giving my students various choices will allow them to really experience the joy of reading by providing them with comfortable seating, rather than providing them with traditional options like sitting at their desks. During independent reading times, my students will have a variety of choices to experiment with to determine what type of seating works best for them. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed such a differences in my students when they are given the option to lay on the carpet rather than just sitting criss-cross applesauce. They are comfortable and are more engaged with what they are learning. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make the art of reading more enjoyable for them. Each product is lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom.
