These books contain words that the students have been taught to decode. Because of this, my students will be able to focus on the other important aspects required in reading. These skills include vocabulary development, fluency, and comprehension. All of these skills are extremely challenging for my students because of their hearing impairment. These books will allow me to focus my instruction on these vital skills. I will use these books in my small group instruction. The unfamiliar words in the text will be taught through text clues. Other skills will be taught using graphic organizers. The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.-Dr, Seuss Through my instruction with these books my students will grow academically.
