A team of Desert Sands Middle School 6th Grade students won First Place in the Junior category at the Arizona Future Problem Solvers Affiliate Bowl. This earned them the right to go to the International competition, at Iowa State University in Ames, IA. At International, students will compete against students from Portugal, the United Kingdom, Turkey, New Zealand, Malaysia, India, Australia, and Guatemala, Qatar, Ireland, and Israel, as well as, entrants from the United States. We need to raise money for the entrance fees and travel costs for the 2 coaches, 4 students, and 2 chaperones. Desert Sands is a Title I school where most of the students receive free lunch. These students stayed after school since August 2014 to train for the State competition. Please help these deserving students. Thank you.
